Prof Gerald BrayRev Professor Gerald Bray has been a visiting lecturer in historical theology at HTC since 2006. After doctoral studies in Paris, he trained for the pastoral ministry in Cambridge and was ordained in 1978. He taught theology and church history at Oak Hill College in London from 1980 to 1992 and then became Anglican Professor of Divinity at Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, Alabama. He returned to the UK in 2006 to become Director of Research for the Latimer Trust. Currently, he is Research Professor of Divinity at Beeson Divinity School and Distinguished Professor of Historical Theology at Knox Theological Seminary, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He continues to write and to speak in many different places around the world.

Gerald speaks nine languages fluently and learns another one in his spare time. When he is at home he swims a mile and a half every day and cycles almost everywhere. He is also very interested in the history of the church in Cambridgeshire and spends a lot of time visiting its ancient churches.
