Studying Scottish History from Canada- Student Spotlight

Ann Vanderwal, one of UHI's postgraduate distance learning students, recently attended HTC's Scottish Church History Conference in Dingwall. Flying in from canada for the event, she said 'Most of my course was conducted remotely from Canada, so one of the highlights of my academic journey was attending the church history conference, 'Outlanders of the Faith,' organized by HTC.'

Ann Vanderwal is a postgraduate History student, studying with UHI from her home country of Canada. We caught up with Ann to hear about her experience.

She said 'While my studies were primarily with the departments of history and archaeology, I was able to explore many aspects of church history through various research papers. Most of my courses were conducted remotely from Canada, so one of the highlights of my academic journey was attending the church history conference, 'Outlanders of the Faith,' organized by HTC.

This gathering provided me with the invaluable opportunity to meet experts in the field of church history personally.

My time at UHI ignited a passion within me for further exploration in the realm of Highland evangelicalism and, therefore, I eagerly anticipate attending similar conferences in the future'
