Highland Theological College: A New Chapter Begins

After more than 30 years in the heart of Dingwall, Highland Theological College is preparing for an exciting new season.

While our campus has served us incredibly well over the years, the landscape of theological education has changed. Since the pandemic, student learning preferences have shifted significantly—many now prefer the flexibility and accessibility of online learning alongside in-person teaching, and we’ve seen strong engagement and positive feedback as we’ve adapted to this new model.

With this in mind, our Board of Governors has taken the decision to sell our Dingwall premises and relocate HTC to Inverness. This move will allow us to find a new base that better reflects the shape and scale of our current operations—while positioning us to grow and thrive in the years ahead.

The sale of the current building will be taking place in the coming weeks, and we are actively exploring options for a new home in the Inverness area. We remain deeply committed to our mission: to train ministers, kingdom workers and Christians in all professions for faithful service in Scotland and beyond—and this next step enables us to do so with fresh energy and vision.
