Access Course in Christian Theology
Introduction

This course, written by the staff of the Highland Theological College UHI and validated by Moray College UHI, is for anyone who wants to study the Christian faith in greater depth.

The course would be particularly suitable for those who do not have the necessary qualifications for university entrance, or for students wishing to study the Christian faith prior to degree studies in another discipline.

Qualifications Granted

Those who complete the course successfully will be awarded a Certificate of Access to Degree Studies. This means that, if you wish, you can go on to study for our BA degree in theology.

Qualifications Required

No formal qualifications are required for entrance into the course.

Modes of Study

The course can be taken on campus or by open learning (correspondence).

If you choose to attend on campus as a full-time student, then the course will take 1 academic year to complete.

If you choose to take the course by correspondence, you will be awarded the certificate if you complete the modules within a certain period. Alternatively, you could take one module at a time, at your own pace, simply for interest. In either case you will receive personal tutorial support, plus have the opportunity to meet with other students at conference days, or by video conferencing where appropriate.
